Caterpillar Reach Stackers Prince Edward Island

A reach stacker is a vehicle meant to handle the movement of containerized cargo in medium and small-sized ports and terminals. Reach stackers are perfect for quickly shuttling containers short distances and piling them in rows.

Due their flexibility, reach stackers are a common choice for handling intermodal cargo containers. They can stack higher than forklift trucks. With a reach stacker capable of second row access, container blocks could be kept four-deep.

Kinds of Forklift Reach
The forklift reach is a kind of forklift usually used on construction sites. It is equipped with a boom and really large tires which provide great stability on uneven terrain. The forklift reach is available in the following variations:

The Stand-Up Reach includes a narrow width making it appropriate for racked pallet storage.

The straddle Reach includes outriggers and hydraulic-like scissors attachments attached at the front.

The Double-Deep Reach is outfitted with an extended reach device which allows the storage of pallets in double-deep racks.
