Audible Devices - Motion or back-Up Alarms:
Back-up alarms and motion alarms are audio device accessories that produce enough sound so that the sound is heard overtop the sounds produced from the forklift itself.
The sound produced by the audio device should be distinguishable from other audible devices or noises from the work environment. The sound must also be different from the other noise or audible devices within the work place. The audible device can employee noise exposure and end up contribute to OSHA noise limitation; hence, care should be taken.
Determine the direction and distance the sound of the audible device is made harder due to the use of hearing protection. Audible devices could occasionally get deactivated from both workers and operators as they could find them very irritating. What's more, audible devices may also be objectionable to nearby residents.
Additional Operator & Application Options:
Enclosed Operator Cabs: To be able protect the operator from the elements, enclosed operator cabs made of tempered glass are used to help prevent injuries and lessen other issues. In addition, these cabs feature an emergency exit through removing the window. Noise levels are reduced at the operator's ear due to additional sound proofing.
Operator Selectable Performance Modes: For each specific application, the operator is able to choose the performance requirement. Moreover, it allows a supervisor to set the unit's maximum performance for an operator who is just learning. Being able to lessen and adjust the model's maximum performance allows a new operator to learn the machine's operating characteristics in a controlled setting.
Impact Monitor: When the impact monitor is disabled, a supervisor is needed to activate and override the unit. This encourages the operator to be certain to manage the machinery in a more controlled way.
Dual Rear View and Panoramic Mirrors: These mirrors serve as an aid to the operator in observing the tail swing area, as well as the operating environment behind the truck.
