Sellick Forklifts Prince Edward Island

Following a long connection with a Ford Tractor dealer, Walter Sellick began to make his own company by modifying a tractor that was supplied by Ford Tractor. He transformed it into a 6000 pound forklift that could be used outdoors. What is currently regarded as the turn-around tractor series is comprised of a mast and a counterweight design and basic sub-frame.

Heavy duty lifts have evolved in both their design and construction. An essential one piece frame concept was introduced to all models of Sellick forklifts ever since the year 1975. The basic Ford Tractor power train became retrained as the basic power module for the majority of models. The market was for Sellick straight mast rough terrain lift trucks were well established. The new design combined with the state of the art technology paved the way to vastly increased sales in the beginning of the 1980s.

A new part designed series was introduced during the year 1987. This series featured Perkins, Continental and Ford engine options and was equipped with shift-on-the-go transmissions. Furthermore, the low profile SD Series and the SG Series along with the See Thru roller masts came onto the market. The introduction of the 12,000 pound SD Series in the late 1990s along with the optional fully automatic Power-shift transmission featured the technology for the new millennium.

The TMF-55 Truck Mounted Forklift was launched during 1995. This equipment features 5500 pound capacity. This unit is powered by a choice of Perkins or Deutz diesel engine. This particular design really reduces turn-around time to a minimum and greatly maximizes the complete delivery system-trailer, truck and driver. The TMF-55 loads itself on the back of a trailer or a truck easily. This specific design eliminates the need for towing a trailer and saves huge cargo space.

During the year 2002, Sellick Equipment Limited became North America's sole distributer of the JCB Teletruck. This flexible reach industrial lift truck helps to fill out the material handling products selection. It provides utmost versatility and a unique forward reach.

During 2004, Sellick introduced the S Series of ergonomically friendly forklifts. These units focused a great deal on operator safety and comfort. The business has launched a new era of manufacturing and top of the line forklift design.
