In order to be a successful unit, a lift truck has to be strong enough to last in all working environments for many hours of use. It should be able to move loads quickly and efficiently too. The machinery has to be comfortable and ergonomically correct for the operator too.
Yale's powertrain is both rugged and dependable. The powertrain needs the power to always offer great strength through its computer-managed engine and transmission. It provides state-of-the-art clutch packs along with strong gears and extremely tough shafts. The steer axle, drive, transmission and engine are all isolated in order to reduce vibration and noise inside the compartment of the operator.
GM & Mazda LP & Gas Engines:
Mazda's LP engine and GM's gas engines utilize cast iron blocks to promote long life. These kinds of machinery provide an electronically-controlled closed loop fuel system that requires minimal repair or adjustment. These types of engines also have hardened exhaust valve seats that reduce wear.
Yanmar and Cummins Diesel Engines:
Inside the Cummins and Yanmar diesel engines, a high compression ratio offers exceptional torque. Remarkable fuel consumption is offered by efficient fuel systems.
Regular Electronic Powershift Transmission:
The regular Electronic Powershift Transmission features gears that are 15 percent stronger and shafts which maximize resistance to rough driving. The strong clutch packs offer 3 times the life of previous packs. Lastly, there is available electronic inching which adjusts automatically so as to decrease maintenance needs by compensating for brake wear.
Techtronix Transmission:
The Techtronix Transmission uses computer-controlled power reversal to extend the life of the tires, to eliminate shock loading and increase durability. What's more, the auto deceleration feature lessens break pedal usage and break wear.
Drive Axle:
The Drive Axle is made for extra durability with its full floating, brake drum mounting axle shaft and the strong ring and pinion gears. This component also has optional oil cooled wet disc brakes that are practically maintenance free and entirely sealed against contamination.
Steer Axle:
In order to protect the steer cylinder for debris and damage, the Steer Axle features a "sandwich" design. This Steer Axle also has a fixed-length tie rods which could add extra durability and stability. The tapered roller bearings help to resist side-to-side and front to back forces. Also, cast ductile iron axle increases toughness and lessens wear.
Yale had made lots of ergonomic features and safety features part of their regular packages. These machinery will handle tough settings, while keeping the operator safe and comfortable for the duration of their shift.
