Genie telescopic S-booms have working heights of 14.20 meters to 40.15 meters and a horizontal reach of between 9.65 meters and 24.38 meters. Compared with different other aerial work platforms, telescoping booms have a much greater range of horizontal reach. Genie telescopic booms are designed with consideration to being able to access tight places during industrial and construction jobs. They are also known for their ability to maneuver through a job site rapidly and with great drive speed and traction. The platform hydraulically turns 160° and can stay level through the whole range. Front-entry platforms are available from 1.83 meters to 2.44 meters and come with 227 kilogram to 272 kilogram capacity for operators and tools. Continuous, 360° rotating turntables offer operators easy, quick positioning.
The Z-135/70 unit comes outfitted with a Jib-Extend, that is a telescoping jib. It extends from 3.66 meters to 6.1 meters. This model could also reach 110° vertically to give the user the ability to reach jobs that were previously inaccessible by standard jibs. The Z-80/60 model's secondary reverse-articulating boom gives the user 8.83 meters of over and up reach. This feature allows over and up reaching tasks to be completed with zero front arm swing.
The Fast Mast System made by Genie allows for time to be saved when both secondary and primary booms platform has to either be lifted or lowered without needing to lower the secondary boom. The Fast Mast system enables both booms to be elevated fully at the same time. Both of these features of the Genie Fast Mast system reduces the time needed for users to ascend and descend, increasing both effectiveness and production.
