Telescopic forklifts
Telescopic forklifts offer versatility and height. These units are outfitted with a pronged lift on an arm that extends over the top of the truck. The arm, or crane, is called a telescopic boom. The boom allows the person using it to maintain a high degree of control while raising the load to great heights. Regular forklifts aren't able to move the load towards and away from the cab of the forklift, whereas a telescopic forklift could allow that movement. The telescopic forklift is normally used in agriculture and construction. It is recommended for applications where greater lift and control is needed.
A lift truck carton clamp attachments are recommended in situations needing high volume carton handling. The attachment has arm pads with four way reversible rubber linings which enable the operator to use uniform clamping force when lifting a load. It is available with a backrest which protects the cargo from damage.
A slip sheet attachment fits onto a slip sheet forklift. It is used for storing systems that don't use pallets. The attachment clamps onto the slip sheet and pulls it onto the forks on the forklift. This type of system is handy for overseas shipments and intra-corporate deliveries.
A lift platform that is designed to lift workers is called a Man Basket. It attaches to the forks on the forklift and a chain or strap is utilized to attach the basket to the forklift carriage. The platform has railings to protect the personnel from falling to the ground. Brackets on the platform are used for fastening the worker's safety harness.
